Naughty Dog must independently design an image for Ellie’s tattoo within The Last of Us Part 2. After internal efforts failed to yield results, the producers called in Californian tattooist Natalie Hall. The goal was to design an appropriate tattoo covering up the self-inflicted chemical burn on her arm. This was then covered by an infected wound that served as evidence of her immune system against the Cordyceps brain disease.
